Host Terms & Data Processing
Last updated: June 16, 2026
These Host Terms add to our Terms of Service and apply whenever you create or run an event on Letsdap. They cover how you must handle the personal information you receive about the people who register for your events. By creating an event, you accept these terms.
1. Your role
When you host an event, you are the organizer of that event, not Letsdap, and you decide why and how attendee information is used for your event. For that information you act as an independent controller and are responsible for handling it lawfully. Letsdap provides the platform that makes the information available to you; we are not a party to the relationship between you and your attendees. These Host Terms are in addition to, and do not replace, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Information you receive
Depending on how you configure your event, Letsdap may make the following attendee information available to you through your event's management tools, guest list, check-in, exports, and notifications:
- Name and email address
- Phone number (when the attendee has provided one)
- Profile photo
- Ticket type and registration date
- Registration status, check-in status, and check-in time
- Answers to any registration questions you add to your event
- Post-event feedback and ratings the attendee submits to you
- Transaction details for paid tickets — amount, currency, reference, and refund status (Letsdap and our payment partners process the payment itself; full card numbers never reach you)
3. Your obligations
You agree that you will:
- Use the information only to run your event — to manage registrations and the guest list, communicate event logistics, check attendees in, and provide what you advertised. Do not use it for unrelated purposes.
- Have a lawful basis for any further use, and obtain the attendee's consent where the law requires it — for example before adding someone to a marketing list or contacting them about future events.
- Not sell, rent, or disclose attendee information to third parties, and not send spam or messages that lack a working unsubscribe mechanism.
- Keep it secure — protect any copies you export or store (such as CSV guest lists) with appropriate safeguards and restricted access.
- Keep it only as long as needed for your event and any legal, tax, or accounting requirements, then delete it.
- Honor attendee rights and requests — including access, correction, and deletion — and respond to them promptly. Tell Letsdap at support@letsdap.com if a request concerns information held on the platform.
- Comply with applicable law, including data-protection and privacy laws that apply to you and your attendees (such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the Nigeria Data Protection Act, as applicable).
- Tell us about incidents — notify Letsdap without undue delay at support@letsdap.com if you become aware of a breach affecting attendee information you received through Letsdap.
4. Paid events and payouts
If you sell tickets, you connect your own payment account (Stripe or Paystack) to receive payouts, and you set your ticket prices and your own refund and cancellation policy. You are responsible for honoring that policy, for any taxes on your sales, and for resolving disputes and chargebacks in line with the processor's rules. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work on the platform.
5. Responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for your event and for your handling of attendee information. You agree to indemnify and hold Letsdap harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your event, your use of attendee information, or your breach of these Host Terms or applicable law, as set out in our Terms of Service.
6. Suspension
We may suspend or remove an event, or restrict a host's access, if we reasonably believe these Host Terms or applicable law are being violated, or to protect attendees or the service.
7. Changes
We may update these Host Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to host events after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
8. Contact
